What Are the Differences Between Household and Industrial Vacuum Cleaners?

When we mention vacuum equipment, we might first think of household vacuum cleaners. However, many factories and enterprises also use vacuum cleaners, generally industrial vacuum cleaners. So what is the difference between household vacuum cleaners and industrial vacuum cleaners?

Different suction materials

Household vacuum cleaners are generally used to suck up dust particles in the home, such as small objects like sunflower seeds and cigarette butts. On the other hand, industrial vacuum cleaners are used to suck up waste produced in factories during production, such as ceramic powder, spray powder, toner powder, metal powder, and other fine powders, as well as clean iron scraps, sand, wood chips, and large amounts of dust. They can also suck up mixtures of liquids and dust, which is much more difficult to handle.

Different materials used for the body

The materials used in the two types of vacuum cleaners are also different. Household vacuum cleaners are mostly made of plastic, while industrial vacuum cleaners are usually made of metal, which is more durable than the plastic material used in household vacuum cleaners. There are many types of industrial vacuum cleaners, and their uses and methods are thus more varied, and their applications vary depending on their classification.

Differences in power

The volume and weight of the substances that household vacuum cleaners need to suck up are quite small, so there is no need to make the vacuum cleaner very powerful. In recent years, cordless rechargeable designs have become more popular for household vacuum cleaners. The advantages of this design are obvious – there are no power cords and no need to change outlets, so vacuuming can be more flexible and convenient, and the motors used for these designs are smaller in size. However, industrial vacuum cleaners are different. Due to the complexity of the industrial environment, especially for heavy industries, the substances that need to be cleaned up are generally large in volume, heavy, and large in quantity. Therefore, the vacuum cleaners need to have a stronger suction power to complete the cleaning tasks. Therefore, the power of the vacuum cleaners is generally large, usually above 1500W, and heavy industries require even more than 7500W.

Therefore, industrial vacuum cleaners and household vacuum cleaners are not only different in terms of usage scenarios but also differ significantly in terms of the materials used for manufacturing the devices and their power. Therefore, we must distinguish between the two types of devices when choosing them!
